Cyclist & Pedestrian Protection
Cyclist Camera Systems
According to the Department for Transport In 2020 there were 16,294 cyclists injured on public roads in the UK¹. In congested built up areas cyclists and pedestrians are at particular risk, although these accidents can happen anywhere. In order to protect vulnerable road users (VRU) vehicle owners and operators can have a number of devices fitted to help minimise the potential for injury or death. Side scan ultrasonic sensors are fitted along the left hand side of the vehicle and alert the driver with visual and audible alerts if the system detects an object. Sensors can be customised to suit vehicle types and the protection level required, from 3 sensors around the front step area up to 7 sensors all the way along the side of the vehicle.
Left turn alarms are fitted discretely on the nearside of the vehicle which announce an audible warning to people outside the truck that the driver intends to turn left. This system coupled with our camera platform offers a complete safety solution in order to protect your vehicle, your drivers, your business and everyone that uses our roads.
